    Anxiety is the most common mental condition amongst 15% of seniors; yet most cases go undiagnosed.

     

    Watch out for: racing heart, trembling, hot flashes, headaches, frequent urination, sweaty palms, nausea, dry mouth 

    Manage anxiety with:  

    • Frequent communication about your thoughts with someone you trust. 
    • Using stress management techniques like meditation and yoga. 
    • Getting plenty of sleep; at least 7-9 hours of sleep every night. 
    • Avoiding stimulants like nicotine, caffeine and alcohol. 
    • Establishing a predictable, daily routine that includes physical activity.
