Anti-inflammatory Butter Salmon
Arthritis is common among the aging elders and it can make their lives tough.
Fortunately, we have a remedy in our kitchens to improve the condition of arthritis and keep the elderly comfortable at home. Certain foods have the healing power to ease inflammation and help relieve joint pain associated with arthritis.
Salmon baked with lemon, garlic, butter and basil is very beneficial for those with arthritis. Add at least two servings of this dish to their diet each week to reduce the severity of the arthritis symptoms. Also, you can replace salmon with other fatty fish like mackerel, or sardines in this recipe.
Dementia decreases a person’s cognitive functioning such as thinking, remembering, learning, and reasoning. As the disease progresses, it can lead to many psychological changes like anxiety, paranoia, and depression. Slowing down its progression can help people maintain their abilities for longer. Physical and mental activities are ideal to help slow down cognitive decline.
Focus on a few easy and engaging activities for seniors with dementia that boost their mood and self-esteem as well. Apart from building strength and flexibility, these activities also can help with reducing their agitation, sundowning, disrupted sleep, and more.
A blocked artery or burst blood vessel can cause a stroke. Strokes can be fatal if the treatment and care are delayed. It is important to treat the stroke within the golden hour to prevent permanent damage or death.
You can prevent strokes naturally with healthy choices.
Control blood pressure through lifestyle changes, add more fruits and vegetables to your diet by reducing salt and fat-saturated foods, maintain a healthy BMI, be physically active, and quit smoking and drinking alcohol to prevent strokes.
